Petite Entrepreneur: Meet Nasiba Adilova
If you’re a fan of street style, then you know fashion icon Miroslava Duma. She is the founder of the fashion and lifestyle platform Buro247.com and former Harper’s Bazaar Russia editor.(If you haven’t yet, check out our post on the 5 foot fashion icon for some fashion inspiration and style tips
But have you heard of the fashion icons BFF? Her name is Nasiba Adilova and she is the director of business development at Büro 24/7. At 5’2 this street style star is our next featured petite boss. She has been dominating street-style blogs and is always seen at fashion weeks front row seats giving us fellow petite women a chance to revel in her designer looks. She started as a grant writer, working with foundations that help New York nonprofits.
During her stint in Buro 24/7, Nasiba became best friends with Duma and when they became pregnant at the same time had trouble finding organic, non-toxic baby products. This led them to launch The Tot, a luxury online shop for moms looking for safe products for their families. The launch included the design of a luxury diaper bag by fashion designer Mary Katrantzou and a clothing collection by Oscar De La Renta. The success of the shop led them to open physical stores in Dallas and London.
We love her entrepreneurial spirit and the inspiration moves beyond fashion and style:
“However, just as I refused to stop dreaming big as girl growing up in communist Russia, I’ve never been one to limit myself. When you’re open to opportunities and embrace them wholeheartedly, they’ll often lead you to amazing places,”
